As part of its mission to change the way people see lawyers, Whitehead Monckton, one of Kent’s largest law firms, launches its revamped legal podcast, HeadNotes.
Each episode will break down the latest developments in law, from business challenges to family matters. With no jargon, just clear, practical insights, Whitehead Monckton’s lawyers will show that law doesn’t have to be complicated – it just needs to be clear.
Listeners will hear from friendly and approachable experts in family law, succession, real estate, employment law, disputes and corporate law.
The first episode landed on Tuesday 3 March, featuring Antonio Fletcher, Head of Employment, and Eloise Jones, Employment Solicitor from Whitehead Monckton. Essential listening for employers, this episode will walk step-by-step through the Employment Rights Act 2025, explaining what it means in practice business leaders and HR departments.
“We’ve always been conscious that many people – particularly private clients – still see lawyers as bound up in incomprehensible legal jargon,” Whitehead Monckton’s Managing Director, Christopher Longden told The Professionals. “We want to change that, and show people that we’re human first and lawyers second.
“With HeadNotes, we’re aiming to simplify the issues – helping people to understand not just what the law ‘is’ but what it means in real life, particularly when something has changed, and people need to know how that might affect them. Obviously, while a podcast can be useful and informative, it can’t provide specific advice. So, while HeadNotes will offer practical information in plain English, it will also signpost listeners to where to get advice tailored to individual circumstances.”
